J. Gray aka Drunken Monk is an instrumentalist, producer, and rapper, originally from Louisiana and currently residing in Oakland, California. Gray studied music at a school of the arts in Shreveport Louisiana, and showed a gift for writing poetry at the fairly young age. After pursing studies in the science area in college he returned to music and studied music theory and piano performance at MSU
