Access Unlocked November 30, 2016 Dylann Roof the twenty-two (22) year-old, who killed nine (9) African Americans in the historical Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Charleston, South Carolina, has been granted the right to represent himself by a federal judge.

After fleeing the scene of the shooting, Roof was apprehended in Shelby, North Carolina.  It was reported, officers took Roof to Burger King after being arrested, because the assailant was hungry.

State Senator Clementa C. Pinckney were among those who were killed on June 17, 2015.

Allegedly, Roof admitted he committed the vicious crime, in an effort to start a race war.

Prior to Roof being granted the right to represent himself, officials were investigating if he was competent enough to stand trial.  On November 25, 2016 it was determined Roof was sane and the trail could move forward.
