Notice I didn't say "Dj Coalition" that's because a lot of (98%) of them are run like a "Dictatorship". No I'm not throwing shots at any one "Dj Coalition" but I am making a statement that's "Fact". The Music Industry has changed in the 30 years I've been around in & out of it. I always hear negative things coming out of peoples "Djs" mouths on how other crews or "Coalitions" are either to Small or they just to Big. I always tell other Djs what the perks could be of being a member of a "Dj Crew" or "Dj Coalition". I also speak on the down side of being in it too. As a Dj U have to ask ur self what can this "Crew or Coalition" do for me, better yet what can I do for them? Taking a look into ur self only U can answer that. Me personally I would want to be apart of something that is positive & productive, meaning where I could assist in the input of New & Fresh Ideas w/o getting talked down or disrespected. When ur disrespected for whom U R, if u spin Vinyl Records or Not its all about "Breaking New Music" & "Entertaining the Crowd". As the times & technology keep changing there is always a New Breed of Djs that come out, does that make them less of been a Dj cause they neva used Vinyl Records, No. Alot of Crews & Coalitions say if ur not Spinning Vinyl Records then ur a "Push Button Djs".
