Dylann Roof has been convicted of murder
Access Unlocked Thursday December 15, 2016 Dylann Roof has been found guilty of thirty-three (33) counts of federal charges for the June 17, 2015 murder of nine (9) people in Charleston, North Carolina at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Some of the charges the twenty-two (22) year-old was convicted of include attempted murder, damage to religious property, obstruction of religious belief and weapons charges.
Dylan Roof participated in worship and prayer service, before killing the senior pastor and state senator Clementa C. Pinckney.ÂÂÂÂÂÂ
He also attempted to kill three (3) people hiding in the basement.
Roof fled the scene of the crime and was later arrested in Shelby, North Carolina more than two hundred miles away from the church.
It was confirmed the killing was racially motivated. Reportedly, Roof killed the individuals in order to start a race war.
Roof may receive the death penalty in this case.
